Dee Harrison is Manager of our Centre with a Diploma in Counselling and Diploma in Body Therapy. Dee has an interest in working with and alongside people, to help them be the best they possibly can. She believes that we change lives when participants get involved in our courses. "We are all diamonds in the rough which become polished gems."
Crystal Take is our Office Administrator and Crisis Support Counsellor. She is a graduate of AUT with a BHSc in Counselling, and UoA with a BEd in Teaching (Primary Specialisation). She also holds a current Provisional Membership to NZAC. She has an interest in working with people from all walks of life, wherever they all meet along their journey. Karrin McGinty - Bachelor of Counselling. Provisional Member of NZAC.       
Karrin is committed to working alongside both Adults and Adolescents in their journey of self-discovery. She uses active approaches to create positive change. Karrin's interests include working with low confidence, low self-esteem, stress management, anxiety and other presenting issues. Moments where an individual feels empowered to tell their own stories are the moments that remind Karrin why she became a counsellor, and they continue to be a privilege and honor when working in this industry.

Sara McKay - Bachelor of Counselling. Provisional Member of NZCCA.

Sara is passionate about working with people of ages and walks of life. It is a privilege for her to help people to discover their hidden potential and to make the desired changes in their lives. Sara particularly enjoys seeing a person find empowerment and freedom from the negative effects of the presenting issues. Sara works with the modalities: Client-Centred, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and Strengths-Based.


Claire Nicholson - Dip. Guidance & Counselling., Dip. HSc.,Dip Teaching. M.N.Z.A.C

Claire has been part of this Centre for many years working as a Private Worker. Claire is not only a Counsellor, but also offers Supervision to Student Counsellors and Counsellors in the field. Claire is a Consultant, Mediator and an ACC Registered Counsellor. She also has experience working with the Family Court systems. Claire is open to seeing Individuals, Couples and Families.

Jeanne Le Roux - Clinical Psychologist

Jeanne is a Clinical Psychologist who is registered with ACC, working with Pain and Physical injury, under an ACC contract. Jeanne is open to working with a range of presenting issues, however, not those that fall under ACC Sensitive Claims. She has an interest in working with people experiencing loss and grief. 

Giselle Tomkins-Troy - MHSc Psychotherapy (Hons)
Postgraduate Diploma Psychosocial Studies. BSc Psychology. Registered Psychotherapist PBanz (PB533). MNZAP

Giselle provides Psychodynamic Psychotherapy working with Adults 18 years and over with a variety of presenting issues including Sexual Abuse Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Grief or a general sense of dissatisfaction or discontent in life. Giselle is registered with ACC.

Luzaan Nel - BHSc (Hons) Psychology. NZPB. Counselling Psychologist

Luzaan is a Counselling Psychologist, registered with ACC - Assessments and Therapy. She works with Sensitive Claims for Children & Adults. 

Helen Duyvestyn - Dip Nursing, MHSc, Cert. IDT, Cert. DBT, Cert. Life Coaching.
Helen is a registered nurse with over 15 years experience in the field of mental health. She works with individuals who desire a directional change in their life. Passionate about health, nutrition and lifestyle medicine, Helen brings a holistic approach to health and wellbeing including mindfulness and solution focused therapy into her practice. She specialises in mild anxiety, depression and alternatives to medical treatment of the same. (For more information see
